Snowmass is the best place to learn how to Mountain Board. We have two terrain parks and lift served trails to try out all aspect of Mountain Boarding. This is the ultimate in adventure.

What is a mountain board? A mountain board is part skateboard, part snowboard and part bicycle. Mountain boards include a rugged deck, adjustable steering system, air filled tires and an open-heel binding system. Mountain boards can be outfitted with a hand-held reverse V brake system.

What is mountain boarding? Mountain boarding combines the carving and freestyle aspects of snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing with the trail and mountain riding aspects of mountain biking and BMX. Mountain boarding is one of the nation's fastest growing extreme sports. Although mountain boarding combines aspects of other sports it is a sport in it's own right with it's own culture and history. Mountain boarding is the best sport in the world because you can do it anytime and anywhere.

How did mountain boarding start? In 1991 while snowboarding at Heavenly Valley Resort in Northern California friends Jason lee and Patrick McConnell decided it would be a fun idea to make something for snowboarders to use in the off-season to keep in shape and practice their moves. Almost 18 years later MBS Mountain Boards is still going strong selling boards into over 30 countries around the world.
